Asasi Education Fair 2016

The Faculty of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences (BioTech), UPM has participated in Asasi Education Fair 2016 on the March 2, 2016. The education fair was organised by the Centre of Foundation Studies for Agricultural Sciences (Asasi), UPM. It was held at the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Aziz Arts and Cultural Centre, UPM. The visitors were students from Asasi and 11 schools around Serdang and Klang Valley.

BioTech has grasped this opportunity to promote the four undergraduate programmes offered by BioTech; Bachelor Sciences Honours in Biochemistry, Bachelor Sciences Honours in Biotechnology, Bachelor Sciences Honours in Cell and Molecular Biology as well as Bachelor Sciences Honours in Microbiology. Each department displayed a poster to highlight their respective programme.

A flock of school children and Asasi students were attracted to the exhibits of bioprocessing model, bioreactor, gel electrophoresis, microscope, as well as pictures of various microorganisms and viruses models. Many of them expressed their immense interests in pursuing the programmes offered by BioTech.
